About Engineering Skillnet

The organisation’s mission is to help businesses increase productivity, competitiveness, and innovation by delivering high-quality, industry-specific training programmes that are aligned with the latest technological advancements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Objective
The role with Engineering Skillnet focused on developing and managing a targeted LinkedIn strategy to engage business managers, owners, and decision-makers within Ireland’s engineering sector, highlighting the value of continuous professional development, upskilling, and the benefits of joining the Skillnet network. It involved creating visually engaging and informative assets, including social media posts, brochures, infographics, and video content, designed to simplify complex messages and inspire action.
Plan
We developed a new, strategic schedule for LinkedIn posting to effectively promote Engineering Skillnet’s diverse upskilling opportunities while simultaneously providing valuable content tailored to its audience, primarily business owners. This approach included the introduction of engaging formats such as carousels and videos, which were utilised to highlight featured courses and programmes in a more dynamic and visually appealing way. Additionally, we collaborated closely with the network manager, Fiona, to design and produce a range of brochures and leaflets that promoted the organisation’s learning programmes. These materials were carefully developed to ensure brand consistency and deliver clear, concise communication about the various offerings. By combining a thoughtful social media strategy with high-quality printed materials, we aimed to enhance audience engagement, promote continuous learning, and showcase Engineering Skillnet as a leader in professional development within the engineering sector.
Results
Over a six-month period, we successfully increased the number of followers, interactions, shares, and messages on the Engineering Skillnet LinkedIn account, demonstrating steady and measurable growth. By the end of the first year, these efforts translated into outstanding results, with significant improvements in engagement metrics across the board.
